Decoding Data: My Journey in Analytics Excellence

Hi, I'm Segey, a data enthusiast specialising in decoding the language of data. Originally from Moscow, Russia, I studied economics and earned a PhD in marketing. During my dissertation, I focused on data analysis in marketing, researching the functionality of personalised ads and decoding customer behavior patterns.

I started my career in digital marketing, developed my skills in communication, project management, reporting and data visualisation. When I moved to the Netherlands, I started working on sharpening my data analysis skills and began self educating by using online resources and then taking courses online and by that I deepened my expertise in data analytics.

Now I have several industry related professional certifications: for example Data Analytics certification from Google, and Power BI Associate from Microsoft. I’m also proficient in SQL, R, Tableau and currently expanding my skills in Python.

There is aways a story behind every code and a human behind every story

For me, data analytics is not just a job: it's deeply satisfying. I was always curious, loved a good puzzle and finding a creative way to solve it, guess that's why data excites me this much.

Beyond certificates and projects, I find joy in solving problems, answering business questions and uncovering valuable insights. It's about making processes better, simplifying complexities and finding fulfilment in the analytical journey. My commitment to growth isn't just about me: it's about being part of a team, communicating clearly and achieving success together.

Outside of working with data, you can catch me staying updated on tech, contributing to volunteer work, enjoying literature, playing sports, exploring new places and capturing moments with an analog camera.

I believe in the power to make the world a better place lies in understanding the potential of data and recognising the significance of human connections as there is aways a story behind every code and a human behind every story. Together, these elements form the key to comprehending and improving our world.
